Job Description

Responsibilities:
Greet employees, visitors, and suppliers when entering an admin building.
Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department directories.
Operate a switchboard to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls.
Answer the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the correct offices
Maintain security by following company procedures, monitoring access, and issuing visitor cards. Complete all necessary procedures when visitors arrive and leave
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a mining industry.
Possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Deal with meeting room bookings by phone, e-mail, or face-to-face
Take and pass on messages to visitors/employees
Deal with special requests from visitors/ employees
Inform the office staff of visitors' arrivals


Inherent Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
5- years experience as a receptionist
Matric/ Grade 12
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a mining industry.
Valid Drivers License
Own transport
People with disability will be given first preference
Additional Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to type 35 wpm minimum.
Strong phone skills.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.
Understand two official languages (one of them being an African language).
