The Corporate Strategy team leads project-based work with a highly collaborative approach. The role has high external orientation and offers the opportunity for enterprise-level impact and exposure to different parts of the business through a variety of project experiences. Corporate Strategy partners across Strategy & Growth and the business segments to drive strategy execution and works alongside the M&A team on business development opportunities. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious with a desire to learn, can bring structured thinking to answer ambiguous questions, and can turn data and analytics into key insights to influence senior stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver against objectives, in partnership with Corporate Strategy colleagues, business teams, and external partners
Leverage broad set of resources to bring objective, externally driven perspectives, options, or recommendations to business partners
Independently lead specific workstreams within projects
Evaluate data and build financial models and clearly articulate the “so-what” of that information
Summarize project learnings and recommendations for review with leaders
Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources
Create materials for Senior Leadership Team and Board meetings
Help manage external partner relationships
Help develop the Corporate Strategy team and broader General Mills culture
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree
3+ years of relevant work experience in commercial-facing functions such as Finance, Brand Management, Sales, or relevant area
Previous Project Management experience, i.e. ability to build and manage a work plan for a designated workstream
Ability to work effectively with and garner trust from people at all levels in an organization, including senior leaders
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to bring structured thinking to complex problems
Experience bringing together multiple sources of data
Comfort with navigating ambiguity and with being constantly challenged/stretched
High trust and confidentiality with sensitive information
