Qatar Airways is hiring Heavy Vehicle Operators to support catering and ground logistics operations. This role involves operating catering high loaders and other heavy-duty vehicles to ensure timely and safe delivery of catering units to aircraft, in line with safety standards and customer specifications.

Job Overview

* Operate heavy and light vehicles, including catering high loaders, in airside and landside zones
* Load and offload catering items in accordance with galley loading plans and food safety guidelines
* Ensure accurate alignment of high loaders to aircraft and docking stations
* Follow safety protocols such as cone and chock placement, seatbelt use, and speed limits
* Maintain cleanliness of vehicle cabins and report any damage or defects to supervisors
* Complete movement logs, driver sheets, and handover reports during each shift
* Communicate promptly with duty supervisors in case of delays, emergencies, or equipment issues
* Adhere to airside safety procedures, refueling protocols, and operational regulations
* Assist with emergency procedures and support coordination with on-duty seniors and external agencies

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

* High school or vocational qualification
* Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle or trailer operation
* Airline catering or airside operations experience preferred

Licensing and Skills

* Valid heavy vehicle or trailer license from home country
* Airside driving license preferred
* Basic English communication (spoken and written)
* Basic computer skills
* Familiarity with hydraulic vehicles, safety procedures, and airside regulations
* Ability to work under pressure and in shifts
* Time management and coordination skills
