Lead Aeropolitical and Sustainability Officer - Corporate Affairs
Role Summary
Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Lead Aeropolitical and Sustainability Officer to join our Corporate Affairs team in Doha, Qatar. This role supports our group-wide sustainability strategy by preparing environmental reports, maintaining our Environmental Management System (EMS), and driving sustainable development initiatives. The position demands strong analytical skills, environmental expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure compliance with IEnvA standards and global sustainability goals.

What You’ll Do
* Prepare the Qatar Airways Group Sustainability Report through data collection and coordination with internal stakeholders
* Support ongoing development and implementation of the EMS, ensuring alignment with IEnvA accreditation standards
* Maintain and review EMS documentation, including legal registers, communication plans, and procedures
* Participate in environmental initiatives such as waste reduction, water conservation, and energy efficiency projects
* Deliver environmental sustainability training and e-learning modules to internal teams
* Investigate environmental non-conformities and recommend corrective actions
* Assist in environmental risk assessments and sustainability project evaluations
* Research and benchmark sustainable practices to inform corporate strategy and planning
Ideal Profile
* University degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
* Strong background in environmental sustainability and project coordination
* Knowledge of UN Sustainable Development Goals and environmental compliance standards
* Hands-on experience with Environmental Management Systems and documentation
* Excellent report writing, communication, and data interpretation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders effectively
