Safety Officer - Investigation and Airside Operations Doha
Qatar Airways is hiring a Safety Officer - Investigation to support airside incident response and safety compliance at Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport. This role focuses on accident investigation, root cause analysis, and proactive safety reporting to support the airport’s Safety Management System (SMS) and continuous improvement objectives.

Job Overview
* Respond to airside accidents, incidents, and hazards, ensuring operational safety compliance with SMS and airport standards
* Participate in investigations of airside occurrences including near-misses and safety breaches
* Collect and analyze evidence, conduct interviews, and determine root causes and contributory factors
* Prepare initial and final investigation reports and safety recommendations for relevant stakeholders
* Maintain accurate daily activity logs, safety reports, and statistical records
* Support emergency response monitoring and initial safety assessments during airside events
* Liaise with airport stakeholders and operational units to clarify investigation details and ensure corrective measures
* Assist in preparing monthly and annual safety performance reports based on incident trends
Job Requirements
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in aviation, safety, or a related discipline
Experience and Skills
* Minimum 3 years of job-related experience in airside operations or safety investigations
* Formal training in Safety Management Systems (SMS) through ICAO, ACI, or IATA
* In-depth knowledge of international civil aviation regulations and aerodrome safety procedures
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigation
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment with multiple stakeholders
