Job Overview
* Manage and oversee daily baggage services operations across Qatar Airways’ hub and outstation network
* Ensure efficient baggage planning, transfers, deliveries, and adherence to set service standards
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including ground handlers, customs, MOI, and airport authorities
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and security standards within baggage operations
* Drive operational improvements through continuous evaluation of baggage flow, resource use, and process design
* Oversee audits, KPI reporting, and SLA adherence with both internal and external partners
* Monitor financial costs related to baggage, approve invoices, and participate in budget planning
* Initiate process innovation and implement best practices in arrival and transfer baggage operations
* Manage team performance, recruitment, and professional development to uphold service delivery
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
* Minimum 10 years of job-related experience, with solid exposure to airport or airline baggage handling
* Proven leadership in managing cross-functional operations in an airport setting
* Strong understanding of baggage tracing systems, flow optimization, and audit processes
Skills
* Excellent communication and customer service orientation
* Strong decision-making and analytical skills
* Financial and budgetary awareness related to baggage and ground handling services
* Experience in developing SOPs, performance frameworks, and team management strategies
* Ability to travel to outstations and oversee global baggage process improvement initiatives
