Job Overview
As a Senior Flight Dispatcher at Qatar Airways, you will be responsible for managing dispatch coordination during your shift, ensuring flight safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency. You will issue and revise flight plans, monitor flight progress, manage fuel strategies, brief pilots, and liaise with maintenance and ATC to address operational risks and constraints. This position is ideal for aviation professionals who possess technical expertise and thrive in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, issue, and revise operational flight plans for scheduled, charter, and training flights
* Analyze meteorological and operational data to optimize flight safety and performance
* Monitor flight status from STD-2 until landing, and take proactive action where needed
* Communicate key flight information to pilots and provide briefings when required
* Coordinate with Maintenance Control and advise on aircraft limitations or irregularities
* Use TOPS Flight Watch system to track position, fuel, and route deviations
* Apply ETOPS knowledge and fuel management strategies in real-time
Job Requirements
* Relevant college or university degree
* Minimum 5 years of experience in flight dispatch operations
* ICAO-approved Flight Dispatcher course (Doc. 7192 Part D-3) completed
* Familiarity with computerized flight planning systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Strong understanding of ETOPS regulations and dispatch theory
* Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
