Senior Legal Specialist - Data Protection Doha
Qatar Airways is hiring a Senior Legal Specialist to support its Data Protection Office. This role focuses on advising internal stakeholders on personal data handling practices, regulatory compliance, and policy implementation. The position is responsible for maintaining legal frameworks and procedures aligned with global data protection standards across Qatar Airways Group.

Job Overview
* Lead the monitoring and implementation of data protection policies and procedures
* Draft, review, and update internal data protection templates and agreements
* Advise departments on aligning business processes, including IT and AI tools, with legal data protection obligations
* Support assessment and reporting of data breaches in coordination with the Data Protection Office
* Deliver employee training and awareness sessions across Qatar Airways divisions
* Track and analyze regulatory changes affecting data protection obligations
* Provide guidance to departments on compliance with internal data handling policies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy compliance is embedded in company operations
* Maintain up-to-date documentation and support internal audits or external inquiries
* Serve as a key contact for internal stakeholders regarding data protection legal concerns
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field
* Minimum 8 years of experience in a legal role, including law firm or in-house legal environment
* Qualified as a lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction
* Experience in data protection, privacy law, or regulatory compliance
Skills
* Strong understanding of global data protection regulations and best practices
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Word)
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and presentation abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and cross-functional environment
