Qatar Airways is hiring a Service Quality and Safety Officer to support the continuous improvement of ground operations at our hub in Doha. In this key role, you will help implement safety management systems, lead quality audits, and ensure risk control strategies align with both company policy and aviation industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive ground handling experience and a strong background in operational safety and compliance.

Core Duties
* Supervise all aspects of ground safety and quality across hub operations to ensure ongoing compliance
* Execute strategic quality and safety plans in alignment with risk management principles
* Perform risk assessments and hazard identification to recommend effective controls
* Support implementation of the Qatar Airways Safety Management System across ground services
* Deliver expert advice to operations teams on compliance with safety codes, regulations, and standards
* Conduct regular audits, inspections, and observations to ensure policy and regulatory adherence
* Investigate safety incidents and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders
* Monitor safety performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership
* Ensure proper safety procedures around hazardous substances, emergency preparedness, and safe systems of work
* Maintain records, reports, and safety documentation, including weekly and monthly incident summaries
* Liaise with internal and external departments to address quality, compliance, and safety concerns
* Contribute to continuous improvement of ground handling services and supplier performance
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 4 years of job-related experience in airline ground handling and operational safety
* Strong background in ground services audits, process standards, and quality systems
* Certified in safety auditing with experience designing or leading audit programs
* Familiarity with international standards, safety codes, and regulatory compliance in aviation
* Proven ability to analyze complex incidents and recommend actionable safety improvements
* Strong communication and influencing skills in a multicultural environment
* Fluent in English with excellent reporting and problem-solving skills
