The Technical Business Systems Manager will oversee the daily operational management, functional enhancements, and process automation of key aviation business systems. This position plays a pivotal role in aligning IT solutions with Qatar Airways’ strategic goals in MRO operations. You\'ll manage cross-functional technical teams, evaluate digital systems from OEMs, and optimize turnaround times through innovative process engineering. This role is ideal for aviation IT leaders seeking to shape the future of airline M&E technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead functional management and upgrades of M&E enterprise systems and tools
* Drive digital process improvements and automation across engineering departments
* Align new product implementations with compliance, safety, and operational KPIs
* Oversee a diverse team of system administrators and domain specialists
* Serve as a strategic point of contact for MRO technology vendors and internal stakeholders
* Design performance dashboards and reporting tools for system optimization
* Manage vendor contracts and product lifecycle from selection through deployment
* Provide expert-level support for configuration management and release controls
* Execute root cause analysis and corrective actions for technical issues
* Collaborate on M&E innovation roadmaps to support Qatar Airways’ fleet complexity and growth
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum 6 years of experience supporting large-scale Maintenance & Engineering or airline systems
* Proven track record in MRO system upgrades, OEM integration, and aviation IT strategy
* Expertise in functional dashboard design, visual analytics, and business KPIs
* Strong experience in process engineering, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
* Excellent communication, vendor management, and leadership skills
