The Brand Manager - Retail Growth Strategy role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a key hiring opportunity within the Apparel and Fashion industry. Working closely with the Brand General Manager, Brand Principal, Marketing, Buying, Retail Operations and Projects teams, the manager will align merchandise investment, store performance and brand presentation with long-term growth targets.

Role Context
This position carries commercial responsibility across brand profitability, merchandise planning, market expansion and retail execution. The manager will use sales trends, customer feedback and competitive intelligence to strengthen product availability, protect margins and guide decisions concerning new outlets, store formats and regional brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Maximize brand-store sales and profitability in line with approved commercial targets.
* Develop launch and market-entry strategies with the Brand General Manager.
* Control operating costs and ensure expenditure remains within agreed budgets.
* Improve store productivity through effective deployment of people, stock and other resources.
* Review territory feedback to understand brand acceptance, buying behaviour and customer expectations.
* Track sales, gross margin, markdowns, average inventory and other financial-plan measures.
* Build a distinctive regional brand position in partnership with Marketing and the Brand Principal.
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and development of brand and store employees.
Merchandise Planning and Product Selection
* Forecast merchandise requirements using sales results, inventory levels, replenishment needs and upcoming events.
* Establish sourcing triggers based on demand forecasts and company ordering parameters.
* Create merchandise plans covering pricing, promotions, assortment depth and stock availability.
* Determine seasonal buying requirements and prepare appropriate purchasing plans and budgets.
* Coordinate product selection using market research, customer demand and commercial priorities.
* Manage stock balancing, markdown activity and inventory movement across territories.
* Compare stock holdings against sales performance and take timely action on underperforming lines.
* Support stronger sell-through while limiting excess inventory and margin erosion.
Brand Image and Store Presentation
* Build awareness of Club Apparel and other relevant customer-engagement initiatives.
* Gather retail and brand-performance feedback in coordination with Retail Operations.
* Develop visual merchandising direction that supports brand identity and commercial goals.
* Ensure approved presentation standards are implemented consistently throughout the store network.
* Align outlet locations, layouts and customer experience with the intended market position.
Market and Competition Research
* Gather market intelligence and assess retail trends that could influence brand performance.
* Research customer acceptance in established and prospective territories.
* Recommend regional product or brand adaptations supported by reliable market findings.
* Compare competitor products, pricing, promotions and positioning.
* Study emerging product categories, styles, designs, fits and consumer preferences.
* Identify suitable locations for new outlets and present opportunities to senior management.
Projects and Administration
* Evaluate potential sites based on trade area, customer profile, commercial potential and merchandising needs.
* Prepare site recommendations and coordinate the required internal approval process.
* Work with Operations and Projects teams on new store openings, refurbishments and re-fits.
* Confirm that each proposed location supports the brand\'s positioning and expansion strategy.
* Monitor project milestones to keep store openings aligned with the approved rollout plan.
Ideal Profile
The preferred candidate has practical experience in brand management, retail buying, merchandise planning or commercial operations within fashion or lifestyle retail. A strong understanding of sales planning, inventory productivity, pricing, markdown management and store economics is important.
Success will require an ability to combine creative brand thinking with disciplined financial management. The candidate should be comfortable interpreting performance data, negotiating commercial priorities and coordinating teams across multiple territories and functions.
