Electrical Installation and Maintenance
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels, switchgear, and emergency backup systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and conduct inspections to identify issues affecting wiring, circuits, outlets, and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot electrical
problems and complete assigned repairs according to required quality standards.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned activities within defined timelines.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, load calculations, and wiring diagrams to support accurate installation work.
Site Coordination and Supervision
- Supervise and guide assistant electricians during on-site activities, ensuring appropriate work techniques and compliance with established requirements.
- Coordinate with HVAC, AV, carpentry, and maintenance teams to support cross-functional technical work.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and unplanned outages to minimize disruption to commercial and retail operations.
- Maintain accurate records of completed electrical work, materials used, and required follow-up actions.
Tools, Materials and Safety
- Maintain electrical tools and testing equipment in suitable working condition.
- Follow PPE requirements and established electrical safety protocols during all assigned activities.
- Recommend appropriate material specifications for electrical work.
- Support procurement of required electrical components and consumables.
- Carry out electrical activities in accordance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- ITI certification or Diploma in Electrical or a related trade.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience assisting with electrical installations and maintenance, preferably within retail or commercial environments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions, coordinate with a technical team, and comply with safety requirements.
- Experience working with emergency lighting, switchboards, and power systems is preferred.
