Role Context
This position brings together P&L management, merchandise planning, pricing, analytics and customer experience. Its commercial impact will come from balancing demand generation with margin discipline, controlling open-to-buy investment and removing operational barriers that affect availability, fulfilment or conversion.
Key Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end e-commerce performance across revenue, conversion rate, average order value and margin.
* Partner with Finance to manage the digital P&L, contribution margin, working capital and profitability targets.
* Establish commercial plans and performance frameworks with Marketing, Category and Finance teams.
* Assess the complete customer funnel from product discovery and consideration to purchase, retention and repeat ordering.
* Prioritise personalisation, user-experience and conversion initiatives with Product and UX teams.
* Analyse customer behaviour, funnel abandonment, campaign results and trading patterns to identify growth opportunities.
* Develop reporting dashboards that provide leadership with timely visibility into commercial performance.
* Shape pricing strategies around competitive positioning, demand signals, margin protection and seasonal trading needs.
* Lead open-to-buy planning and align inventory investment with revenue forecasts and cashflow objectives.
* Monitor sell-through, markdown exposure, stock cover and inventory-related cashflow risks.
* Recommend corrective commercial actions before excess stock or availability issues affect performance.
* Track delivery speed, fulfilment accuracy, stock availability and other supply metrics influencing customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate online and offline inventory priorities to improve omnichannel efficiency.
* Resolve supply chain bottlenecks that limit sales, delay orders or weaken the customer experience.
Ideal Profile
The preferred candidate has 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial planning, retail strategy or e-commerce within fashion or lifestyle retail. Direct responsibility for a retail P&L, or substantial involvement in its management, is essential.
Strong knowledge of open-to-buy planning, seasonal assortment cycles, sell-through analysis, markdown optimisation and inventory risk is required. Experience connecting online trading decisions with physical-store inventory and fulfilment operations will be particularly valuable.
Candidates with GCC or wider MENA retail experience will have an advantage because of the region\'s distinctive shopping seasons, consumer preferences and logistics environment.
