Role Context
This role supports projects that require architectural and engineering information to be presented through
accurate, controlled drawing packages. The engineer must coordinate several document types and ensure that details remain consistent across plans, elevations, schematics, manufacturing notes, and electronic layouts.
Well-structured deliverables will enable efficient technical review and reduce ambiguity during construction, manufacturing, installation, and assembly activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret project requirements, sketches, design notes, and technical reference material.
* Create detailed architectural floor plans with accurate dimensions and annotations.
* Produce coordinated elevation sets showing relevant heights, interfaces, and finishes.
* Develop CAD drawings for architectural, electrical, and engineering applications.
* Apply consistent templates, layers, symbols, scales, line weights, and drawing conventions.
* Coordinate information between plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
* Prepare geometric dimensioning and tolerancing callouts for manufacturing documentation.
* Confirm that tolerance information is complete and aligned with design intent.
* Develop multi-sheet electrical schematics according to applicable drafting practices.
* Add circuit references, component identifiers, connection data, and cross-sheet links.
* Review schematics to ensure electrical information remains consistent across the package.
* Create and assess PCB layouts for functional performance and manufacturability.
* Coordinate PCB information with the relevant building and electrical-system documentation.
* Identify dimensional conflicts, incomplete details, duplicate references, and design inconsistencies.
* Submit clear technical queries when project requirements require clarification.
* Incorporate approved review comments and track subsequent drawing changes.
* Maintain drawing numbers, revision codes, issue records, and document registers.
* Assemble submission packages that match agreed project milestones.
* Conduct quality checks covering dimensions, units, notes, references, and sheet organization.
* Collaborate remotely with architects, engineers, designers, and technical reviewers.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should have at least three years of recent experience in architectural CAD and construction documentation. Proficiency with recognized two-dimensional and three-dimensional CAD platforms is required.
Applicants must be capable of creating and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing callouts, complex electrical schematics, and PCB layouts. Experience coordinating electronic and electrical documentation within building-related projects is particularly relevant.
