Role Context
The Associate
Architect will support architectural and interior design work by preparing CAD drawings, layouts, study models, presentation materials, construction documents, and design support files under the guidance of senior team members. This position helps project teams convert design information into accurate drawings and visual outputs while learning how codes, standards, client requirements, site conditions, and multidisciplinary coordination influence successful residential project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce CAD drawings, layouts, renderings, study models, construction documents, color boards, and presentation materials for architectural and interior design tasks.
* Prepare design outputs using general design information, project standards, client requirements, and instructions from senior architects or design leads.
* Apply established architectural procedures, drafting standards, drawing conventions, and documentation requirements.
* Use technical manuals, codes, and design references to support compliance with required standards and project expectations.
* Compile project data and perform dimensional checks, basic calculations, and routine design coordination tasks required for drawings and layouts.
* Update drawings and specifications based on redline comments, markups, review notes, and coordination feedback from senior team members.
* Research design ideas, materials, product options, finishes, and technical solutions for review and consideration by the project team.
* Assist in preparing design presentations, visual studies, model outputs, and supporting graphics for internal or client discussions.
* Inspect architectural or interior design features on project sites and record existing conditions, progress observations, or design-related comments.
* Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, CAD technicians, and project team members to meet shared deadlines.
* Support residential project documentation by maintaining accuracy, clarity, consistency, and proper revision control in assigned deliverables.
* Follow quality procedures when preparing drawings, layouts, models, and design records.
* Assist with resolving minor design coordination issues and escalate technical questions where senior input is required.
* Maintain organized design files, drawing records, references, and documentation in line with project requirements.
* Perform additional architectural and design support responsibilities as required by the team.
Ideal Profile
* Saudi National candidate.
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required.
* 0-2 years of relevant architectural experience, preferably on residential projects in Saudi Arabia.
* Working knowledge of architectural design standards, interior design practices, drafting methods, and basic construction documentation.
* Ability to prepare CAD drawings, presentation drawings, renderings, study models, layouts, and design support materials.
* Demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model building, and visual communication.
* Proficiency in CAD and common PC software packages used in architectural and interior design work.
* Basic understanding of architectural codes, design references, materials, finishes, and project documentation requirements.
* Able to follow redline comments, apply revisions accurately, and maintain consistency across drawing sets.
