Position Overview
As a Design Manager, you’ll be the central link between consultants, client teams, and internal stakeholders—ensuring seamless design execution from concept to IFC stage. This role blends strategic oversight, technical expertise, and stakeholder coordination to deliver a high-quality, fully integrated design solution in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across architecture, infrastructure, MEP, and landscaping
* Ensure timely and compliant delivery of design packages in line with project specifications and authority requirements
* Review and manage submissions throughout all project stages, maintaining control over quality, progress, and scope
* Drive collaboration between consultants and internal departments such as planning, procurement, and construction
* Organize and facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, technical reviews, and regulatory approvals
* Identify design risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and manage design change processes efficiently
* Maintain structured logs of RFIs, submittals, actions, and approvals to support smooth information flow
* Support value engineering initiatives and align design with program goals, sustainability targets, and cost benchmarks
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
* Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in design management for large-scale mixed-use, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure projects
* Familiarity with regional authority standards, building codes, and international best practices
* Proven ability to coordinate multiple consultants and disciplines under tight timelines
* Proficient in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools for design coordination and reporting
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions
* Credentials such as PMP, RIBA, PE, or LEED AP are advantageous
* Experience on Vision 2030 or giga projects in the Middle East is highly desirable
