Position Overview
Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced **Landscape Planting Design Specialist** to join its Dubai-based team and collaborate closely with the firm’s UAE and KSA operations. The role focuses on developing innovative, sustainable planting designs for large-scale landscape and urban development projects across the Middle East. The successful candidate will combine horticultural expertise with design creativity to deliver resilient and visually striking environments aligned with Parsons’ sustainability vision.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive planting plans and schedules for large-scale landscape and urban infrastructure projects.
* Select appropriate plant species suited to the local climate, soil type, and ecological conditions, prioritizing native and drought-tolerant species.
* Create detailed planting layouts that reflect the design intent, spatial hierarchy, and seasonal variation.
* Collaborate with design and planning teams to ensure planting concepts support overall project aesthetics and environmental goals.
* Specify plant materials, soil amendments, and irrigation requirements consistent with sustainable landscape design principles.
* Produce technical drawings, documentation, and presentations using Land FX, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
* Develop standardized planting palettes and typologies aligned with client or regional requirements.
* Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of planting designs.
* Support quality assurance reviews and ensure planting details meet both design intent and construction standards.
* Contribute to internal design workshops and mentor junior landscape designers on planting methodologies.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience in landscape planting design, preferably on large international or regional projects.
* Professional registration, licensure, or chartership (or working toward one) from a recognized international professional association.
* Strong knowledge of horticulture, soil science, and irrigation systems.
* Proficiency in Land FX, AutoCAD, BIM tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Excellent understanding of sustainable design practices and ecological planting strategies.
* Outstanding communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
* Fluency in English is required; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and independently when required.
