Role Context
The Senior Architect will provide site-based leadership for hardscape and public realm packages forming
part of a major urban development in Diriyah. The program includes iconic and neighborhood parks, public open spaces, and more than 55 km of streetscape, requiring close control of architectural intent, constructability, interfaces, materials, workmanship, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.
The role combines architectural and landscape coordination with project delivery responsibility. It will bridge design teams, construction supervision personnel, contractors, utilities, commercial functions, consultants, authorities, and the Client to ensure public realm assets are completed as coordinated, durable, accessible, and operationally suitable environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of assigned hardscape, streetscape, park, and public realm packages from mobilization through completion.
* Maintain oversight of project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and delivery risks.
* Ensure construction activities remain aligned with approved architectural and landscape design intent.
* Direct site-based supervision teams across assigned work fronts.
* Monitor contractor performance against approved programs and milestones.
* Review construction sequencing for hardscape and public realm works.
* Coordinate dependencies between landscape, civil, architectural, utility, lighting, and infrastructure activities.
* Identify interface conflicts before they affect construction progress.
* Coordinate connections between parks, streetscapes, public spaces, and adjacent developments.
* Monitor interfaces with underground and above-ground utility systems.
* Ensure completed utility works are properly coordinated before hardscape installation proceeds.
* Review contractor method statements for constructability and compliance.
* Evaluate work programs and procurement schedules.
* Monitor delivery of long-lead materials affecting public realm packages.
* Review contractor Quality Plans and HSE arrangements.
* Ensure required permits, approvals, inspections, and technical clearances are available before work begins.
* Lead technical review of RFIs and construction queries.
* Coordinate responses to contractor technical submissions.
* Review shop drawings for compliance with approved design requirements.
* Assess material submittals for technical suitability and aesthetic intent.
* Review hardscape samples and mock-ups before production installation.
* Monitor material quality, finishes, dimensions, joints, levels, and installation tolerances.

* Review paving, kerbs, steps, ramps, walls, street furniture, and associated hardscape elements.
* Monitor accessibility requirements throughout public realm construction.
* Ensure pedestrian routes and interfaces are coordinated safely and effectively.
* Review transitions between hardscape, softscape, road, and building interfaces.
* Coordinate urban furniture, signage, lighting, and public amenity installations.
* Monitor construction against current approved drawings and specifications.

Strong site-based construction supervision experience is essential.
