Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group is hiring a Senior Design Manager to lead large-scale retail mall and shopping center developments in Dubai. This leadership role focuses on project design coordination, technical quality, and stakeholder management across all stages of retail real estate projects. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in architecture, urban design, and multi-discipline project oversight for commercial developments in the UAE.

Core Duties
* Lead design strategy and documentation for major retail real estate projects
* Manage consultant engagement and design quality for all project stages
* Oversee site evaluation, design briefs, engineering feasibility, and infrastructure planning
* Conduct technical reviews of architecture, structure, MEP systems, and statutory compliance
* Drive innovation through smart design, sustainability, and modern construction practices
* Coordinate executive-level reporting and design presentations
* Support project budgeting and ROI analysis with commercial and planning teams
* Ensure timely project delivery aligned with stakeholder and regulatory expectations
Candidate Requirements
* 15+ years of experience in architecture or urban design
* Deep expertise in retail malls, shopping centers, or mixed-use projects
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design
* Strong technical knowledge of building systems, construction, and authority requirements
* Experience preparing executive-level design reviews and reports
* Capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
* Background with leading real estate developers or top-tier design consultancies
