Role Context
The Senior Landscape Architect will shape outdoor environments from early design thinking through construction delivery. The position requires the ability to translate client objectives, site opportunities, environmental constraints, and urban context into landscape solutions that are visually distinctive, technically viable, sustainable, and appropriate for Abu Dhabi.
As a senior member of the design team, the architect will influence project direction while coordinating with architecture, engineering, and urban planning disciplines. The role also carries responsibility for developing junior professionals, maintaining design quality during implementation, and strengthening client confidence through clear technical and design leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead landscape architecture projects from initial concept and design development through detailed documentation and construction administration.
* Establish compelling landscape concepts that respond to site character, development objectives, climate, and user experience.
* Create sustainable design solutions appropriate to Abu Dhabi\'s environmental conditions and long-term operational requirements.
* Develop landscape strategies for commercial developments, master-planned communities, and complex urban projects.
* Translate conceptual ideas into coordinated and technically deliverable landscape packages.
* Prepare master plans, detailed drawings, specifications, schedules, and supporting design documentation.
* Produce and review 3D visualizations that communicate spatial character and landscape design intent.
* Apply knowledge of local environmental conditions when selecting landscape strategies, materials, and design approaches.
* Ensure proposed solutions respond appropriately to UAE regulatory requirements and relevant sustainability standards.
* Coordinate landscape design with architects, civil engineers, infrastructure specialists, urban planners, and other technical disciplines.
* Identify multidisciplinary design conflicts early and contribute practical solutions that protect overall project objectives.
* Lead and mentor landscape design team members while providing technical guidance and design feedback.
* Review team outputs for accuracy, consistency, constructability, and compliance with agreed design direction.
* Encourage professional development and stronger technical capability among junior landscape professionals.
* Present concepts, technical solutions, and project progress confidently to clients and stakeholders.
