Position Overview
Azizi Developments is seeking a Senior Lighting Designer to join its Design 360 Studio in Dubai. This role focuses on creating innovative lighting solutions for façade, interior, and landscape projects across high-profile developments. The position involves collaborating with architects, designers, and engineers to deliver creative, technically sound lighting designs that enhance project aesthetics and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop unique lighting designs for façade, interior, and landscape applications.
* Work closely with the MEP team, design managers, architects, landscape architects, and interior designers to ensure seamless integration of lighting concepts.
* Assist electrical engineers and CAD technicians in preparing detailed lighting design packages.
* Produce concept presentations, luminaire specifications, control schedules, calculations, BOQs, layouts, and detailed drawings.
* Stay updated on global lighting trends and ensure designs align with industry regulations such as CIBSE and SLL.
* Create visually engaging reports and presentations that communicate design intent clearly.
* Provide markups and contribute to all project stages, from concept to tender.
* Utilize industry-standard design and visualization software including Dialux Evo, Dialux 4.12, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Lumion, SketchUp, 3ds Max, MS Office, and InDesign.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 7 years of lighting design experience with a lighting consultancy or supplier committed to delivering design-driven solutions.
* Proven track record in successfully completing lighting projects across all stages.
* Strong verbal and visual communication skills to articulate design ideas effectively.
* Comprehensive knowledge of lighting regulations and emerging industry trends.
* Ability to create aesthetically compelling yet technically accurate design documents.
* Proficiency in relevant design and rendering software.
