Automotive Air Conditioning Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced automotive air conditioning systems, optimizing performance while adhering to environmental and safety regulations
- Oversee the proper installation and integration of air conditioning units in vehicles, conduct refrigerant charging, compressor checks, and thermostat calibration to maximize efficiency
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to detect leaks, monitor pressure levels, and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical HVAC system issues
- Work closely with clients to assess air conditioning needs, recommend system upgrades, and provide guidance on energy-efficient solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive HVAC technology, contribute to R&D initiatives, and explore eco-friendly refrigerant solutions
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Certification in HVAC or relevant automotive training such as ASE certification is a plus
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience working with automotive air conditioning systems
- Expertise in refrigerant cycles, diagnostics, and system maintenance
- Familiarity with automotive HVAC control systems and electronic diagnostics
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting air conditioning issues, leak detection, and system repairs
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and work with CAD software for system design
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to safety and performance standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in confined spaces and under vehicles as needed
- Capability to lift heavy tools and equipment when required
