LINSCAN is a leading manufacturer specializing in Pipelining inspection tool manufacturing mechanical components, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced VMC & CNC 3/4/5 Axis Programmer to join our team.
Job Summary
As a VMC & CNC 3/4/5 Axis Programmer, he will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) and CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components. he will work closely with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings, develop machining processes, and ensure the efficient and accurate production of parts.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) and CNC machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, and job requirements.
Set up and operate VMCs and CNC machines to produce precision components according to established procedures.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for each job.
Conduct machine setup, including tooling setup, workpiece loading, and machine calibration.
Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, tooling, and job setups.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Stay updated on latest machining technologies, tools, and techniques through training and professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC programmer, with expertise in programming and operating VMCs and CNC machines.
Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam) for CNC programming.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in [mention any specific industries or applications, e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices] is a plus.
