Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Automotive is recruiting experienced General Repair Technicians to join its Toyota and Lexus teams across the United Arab Emirates. The role combines vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs using diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools. Technicians will follow the Fix It Right process, support technical reporting and work to reduce repeat repairs while maintaining effective vehicle repair standards.

Overview of the Role
As a General Repair Technician, you will diagnose vehicle problems and carry out maintenance and mechanical repairs
for Toyota and Lexus customers.
The position requires practical diagnostic ability across key vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, air conditioning, electrical and hybrid systems. You will use diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools while following established repair processes to achieve accurate repairs and minimize repeat workshop visits.
What You Will Do
* Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanical repair work.
* Use diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools to identify vehicle faults.
* Carry out basic diagnosis and mechanical repairs according to workshop requirements.
* Inspect engine, transmission, brake, suspension, air conditioning, electrical and hybrid vehicle systems.
* Perform unit repairs and required air-conditioning component replacement.
* Follow the Fix It Right process to support accurate diagnosis and reduce repeat repairs.
* Assist the Technical Advisor in capturing information required for Repair Support Requests.
* Support preparation of Branch Field Technical Reports for cases escalated to the Aftersales Distributor Team.
* Apply practical technical and mechanical skills during vehicle inspection and repair.
* Participate in hands-on training and continue developing technical knowledge.
Required Skills and Experience
* 2 to 3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician within a large automotive dealership.
* Practical experience in vehicle diagnosis and general mechanical repairs.
* Ability to operate automotive diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools.
* Ability to inspect engine, transmission, brake, suspension, air-conditioning, electrical and hybrid systems.
* Ability to perform basic diagnosis, unit repair, air-conditioning parts replacement and mechanical repairs.
* Good hands-on technical and mechanical ability.
* Willingness to learn through practical training.
* Conversant in English.
