Job Overview:
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking a dynamic and strategic Learning and Development Manager - EV to lead and manage all EV-related training and development initiatives across the automotive network. The role focuses on setting Al-Futtaim EV standards aligned with IMI international standards (levels 1–4), driving New Model Launch (NML) activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with brand and distributor requirements. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and extensive knowledge of EV certification standards and automotive product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Learning & Development Leadership:**
- Manage the EV Centre of Excellence, ensuring effective training and development for all EV-related roles.
- Lead recruitment drives, onboarding, and on-the-job development for EV specialist associates.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development Consultants to design and deliver impactful training solutions.
- Develop structured action plans for new model launch training activities to ensure brand and distributor compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement to select and manage external training and accreditation bodies.
- **EV Certification & Product Launch Management:**
- Lead activities related to EV Vehicles, Facilities, and Charging infrastructure, maintaining EV certification standards across the group.
- Provide support and training for government clients on EV standards.
- Cascade vehicle launch information and activities to relevant departments, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Plan and coordinate new model launch activities, working closely with Brand Principals.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system requirements and SOPs.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:**
- Collaborate with vehicle launch committees to create a calendar of events and identify required resources.
- Work closely with brand principals and distributors to arrange engaging product launch events.
- Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Parts, Service, and Technical departments.
- Communicate training plans and initiatives clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
- **Budget & Strategic Management:**
- Manage budgets for EV learning & development and new model launch activities within the automotive division.
- Partner with procurement to ensure cost-effective training solutions.
- Collaborate with senior management to meet strategic business objectives and align training with organizational goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in management development, soft skills training, and delivering diverse training solutions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong background in partnering with third parties and managing senior management expectations.
- Proven budget management and people management experience.
- Confident in public speaking and delivering presentations to large audiences.
Qualifications:
- High proficiency in both written and spoken English (additional languages are advantageous).
- Relevant certificates or degree in Business Administration, Learning & Development, or equivalent.
- Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent.
- IMI EV Certification or equivalent (highly preferred).
- Valid UAE driving license.
