Role Context
The Manager - Process and Compliance will support finance-led transformation across automotive business units by improving ERP processes, strengthening governance, and aligning operational workflows with financial controls. The role combines SAP process knowledge, compliance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, data analytics, and digital transformation support. By identifying process gaps, improving automation, and building stronger exception management practices, the position helps create more accurate, efficient, and compliant operations across a multi-market automotive business.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as finance lead for ERP implementation, SAP enhancements, and process improvement initiatives across automotive business and finance operations.
* Support system development activities that improve standardization, automation, reporting accuracy, and integration between business processes and financial records.
* Work with finance, operations, IT, business units, and overseas teams to ensure automotive workflows are consistent, controlled, and aligned with business objectives.
* Support digital transformation projects by identifying technology-enabled opportunities for process automation and data-driven decision-making.
* Review existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, duplication, control gaps, manual effort, and inefficiencies affecting speed, accuracy, or compliance.
* Lead process streamlining initiatives that improve resource utilization, operational clarity, and end-to-end process performance.
* Share best practices across business units to encourage consistent execution, stronger governance, and improved process discipline.
* Develop and execute process optimization plans aligned with organizational goals, finance requirements, and automotive business priorities.
* Identify improvement opportunities across systems, procedures, controls, reporting, and business documentation.
* Ensure business processes comply with relevant regulations, internal standards, finance policies, and governance expectations.
* Develop, update, and maintain compliance policies, process documents, operating procedures, and control guidelines.
* Establish exception management alerts, dashboards, and monitoring tools to support ongoing compliance visibility.
* Use data analytics to review process performance, highlight risk areas, and recommend corrective actions.
* Prepare business documentation, presentations, process maps, compliance updates, and improvement reports for leadership and stakeholders.
* Support change management by coordinating with teams during system rollouts, process changes, training activities, and implementation follow-ups.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
* MBA or advanced degree will be an advantage.
* Minimum 2-4 years of experience in finance systems, process improvement, compliance, internal controls, or ERP support.
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting SAP or other ERP processes.
* Professional qualifications or certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or SAP certification will be an added advantage.
* Experience in automotive, retail, dealership operations, finance transformation, or multi-business operations is preferred.
* Strong understanding of finance operating systems, business processes, internal controls, and compliance expectations.
* Knowledge of SAP inbound and outbound processes with the ability to analyze system flows and process dependencies.
* Strong analytical thinking with a practical approach to identifying process gaps and recommending workable solutions.
* Confident communication and stakeholder management skills across finance, operations, IT, and business leadership teams.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, business documentation, reporting tools, process mapping, and performance tracking.
* Leadership ability with a structured, detail-focused, and improvement-driven approach to compliance and process governance.
