Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group is hiring a Senior Accountant - Record to Report in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a corporate finance opportunity supporting the Automotive industry. The role will oversee accurate book closing, balance sheet substantiation and management reporting for multiple automotive business units.
The Senior Accountant will improve Record to Report processes, review Trial Balance accounts and support external audits and financial statement preparation. Timely and reliable reporting will help management evaluate performance while ensuring compliance with Group Finance policies.

Role Context
The Record to Report function ensures that automotive entities close their accounts correctly and provide management with dependable financial information. This position will coordinate monthly reporting activities, investigate account balances and maintain consistent accounting standards across local and overseas operations.
By strengthening reconciliations, fixed asset controls and month-end procedures, the Senior Accountant will reduce reporting risks and help audits and management reviews proceed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
The position requires close coordination with accounting teams to complete monthly financial activities within established Group timelines.
* Monitor the monthly closing of books for assigned automotive business units.
* Review key Trial Balance accounts and verify balance substantiation.
* Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
* Standardise Record to Report accounting processes.
* Improve fixed asset accounting and month-end reporting controls.
* Prepare accurate monthly management reports using approved templates.
* Add clear commentary explaining financial movements and exceptions.
* Submit reports for review by the Finance Manager or AGM Finance.
* Review accounting processes followed by overseas entities.
* Share effective practices that improve financial reporting standards.
* Coordinate external audits and provide supporting schedules and explanations.
* Assist with standalone financial statements for automotive entities.
* Follow governance requirements issued by Group Finance and Divisional Controlling.
Ideal Profile
Candidates must hold a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA and have two to three years of relevant experience within a large organisation.
The role requires a process-focused accountant with strong analytical ability and practical experience using ERP systems. Proficiency in SAP is important, while exposure to SAP BW and SAP BPC will be particularly valuable.
Applicants should be able to prioritise competing deadlines, communicate financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with finance teams, overseas entities and external auditors.
