Job Outline
Provide meet and assist facilities at the airport to all customers of Arabian Adventures with arrival transfers and co-ordinate a smooth departure from the terminal to their respective hotels. This is done in close co-ordination with airport reps.
In liaison with Transport Officer co-ordinate the maintenance of Arabian Adventures fleet of coaches and coasters with supplier and workshops ensuring that they are in suitable working condition and road worthy thereby providing maximum customer comfort and safety.
Maintain records of hours worked by Tour Bus Drivers in order to monitor overtime levels and ensure that sufficient breaks are given to drivers to rest between duties.
Co-ordinate with external transport suppliers such as Budget Rent-A-Car at the airport to ensure that transfers allocated to them are carried out according to the standards set by Arabian Adventures.
Responsible to answer the company `transfer emergency? mobile phone to deal with clients queries on airport transfers, action change requests by clients with sub-contractors as well as own tour bus drivers.
Provide written reports in cases of any incidents/accidents or complaints from customers related service delivery and ensure that corrective action is taken in liaison with the Transport Officer.
Conduct training for new drivers advising them on routes, procedures to be followed, maintenance requirements, etc. in order for them to deliver the best service to the clients.
Undertake regular Tour Bus Driver responsibilities on occasions when there is a shortage of manpower or deputise for Transport Officer during his absence and after office hours.
Co-ordinate with Tour Bus Drivers on shifts in case of emergencies related to flight delays etc. to re allocate tasks in case of overlap in duties and to provide other transport alternatives for arriving or departing passengers.
Qualifications & Experience
More than 5 years of experience in Driving, Facilities and Maintenance
10 Years schooling or equivalent
Detailed knowledge of UAE road networks and places of tourist interest.
Mechanical knowledge of vehicles, first aid & safety procedures.
Fluency in spoken & written English
Should have the ability to deal with difficult situations with regard to sudden changes in plans related to transport.
Should have the ability to deal with customer complaints.
