Truck Spare Parts Procurement

Join a growing organization as a Truck Spare Parts Procurement Specialist, where you will play a critical role in sourcing and managing truck spare parts procurement both locally and internationally. This role requires strategic thinking, cost management expertise, and strong supplier negotiation skills to optimize procurement operations and drive cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure truck spare parts from international and local suppliers
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery times
- Independently manage the procurement unit, overseeing all operations and financial performance
- Handle full procurement cycle, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain high sourcing standards
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and defect rates to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supply chain efficiency
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of spare parts
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement processes with business objectives
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term partnerships
- Oversee the refurbishment unit, managing cost control and efficiency targets
- Implement risk management strategies for supplier contracts and agreements

Key Performance Indicators

- Supplier compliance and fulfillment rates
- Purchase order cycle time and efficiency
- Supplier defect rate and quality assurance
- Lead time and availability metrics
- Procurement cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies
- Return on investment for procurement activities

Required Skills and Experience

- Proven experience in procurement management, particularly in truck spare parts
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify profitable suppliers
- Proficiency in procurement systems, preferably Oracle
- Experience in budget management and cost control
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work with strict budgets and optimize procurement costs

Education and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5 to 7 years of experience in spare parts procurement
