Job Overview
As an Account Services Officer, you will be responsible for handling account opening and maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards of quality, turnaround time, and compliance. The role involves collaborating with UAE branches, supporting offshore and onshore networks, and ensuring that service level agreements are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Process account opening and maintenance for Retail, ELITE, and GPB (Islamic and Conventional) customers
* Support UAE branch and departmental requests related to account services
* Handle macro uploads and ensure timely execution of system-related batch processes
* Monitor and manage service queues, review and approve transactions within your authority
* Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to meet internal and external SLAs
* Resolve queries and follow-ups from branches and offshore units with clarity and efficiency
* Escalate exceptions where needed and advise beneficiaries accordingly
* Supervise junior team members to ensure accurate and timely processing
* Ensure all tasks comply with internal controls, bank policies, and procedural standards
* Accept additional responsibilities from Line Manager to ensure seamless operations
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Banking, Finance, or Economics preferred
* Minimum 5 years of banking experience, with at least 2 years in account services or a similar function
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent communication in English; Arabic is an advantage
* Detail-oriented, collaborative team player with operational discipline
