Job Overview
As the Acquiring and ATM Architect, you will be responsible for designing robust architectures that support ATM driving, merchant acquiring platforms, payment scheme integration, and secure transaction processing. You will also drive the modernization of legacy platforms with cloud-native solutions and API-first architecture to improve scalability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain end-to-end architecture for acquiring systems, ATM networks, and transaction processing
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on integration with Base24, Postilion, or in-house systems
* Architect ATM switching logic, vendor software integration (NCR, Diebold Nixdorf), and ISO 8583 messaging workflows
* Integrate Visa, Mastercard, and local switch networks, including EMV and tokenization standards
* Ensure secure implementation following PCI-DSS, encryption, MACing, and TLS protocols
* Develop scalable solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Enable real-time monitoring, fallback routing, and fraud detection integrations
* Document architectural blueprints, standards, and governance frameworks
* Identify cost optimization opportunities and lead modernization initiatives
Governance & Standards
* Enforce architectural compliance with banking and regulatory standards
* Lead solution reviews, architecture boards, and documentation processes
* Support audit-readiness and operational resilience across ATM and acquiring domains
Job Requirements
* 8–10 years of experience in acquiring systems, ATM architecture, and payment platforms
* Strong understanding of merchant onboarding, settlement, and reconciliation processes
* Hands-on experience with Base24, Postilion, and ISO 8583 switching protocols
* Deep knowledge of Visa/Mastercard networks and EMV/contactless standards
* Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, fraud detection integration, and real-time transaction processing
* Proficient in security protocols, PCI-DSS, and key management systems
* Experience designing cloud-native solutions using AWS or Azure
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and microservices deployment
* Strong documentation, system design, and architectural leadership skills
