Key Responsibilities
* Support Executive Directors and Directors in originating and executing M and A advisory and equity capital markets transactions.
* Work on buy-side, sell-side, IPO, rights issue, block trade, follow-on offering, and other ECM-related mandates.
* Manage selected parts of transaction execution as assigned by the relevant transaction leader.
* Prepare marketing presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, investor profiles, and transaction materials within required timelines.
* Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for transaction origination, valuation, execution, and client advisory work.
* Support financial, legal, risk, compliance, and commercial reviews required for potential and active transactions.
* Coordinate due diligence activities to ensure transaction decisions are supported by accurate analysis and complete review processes.
* Monitor M and A, equity capital markets, macroeconomic, sector, and country-specific developments to support transaction assessment.
* Work closely with Investment Banking and Markets teams to maximize revenue opportunities across each transaction.
* Partner with Client Coverage teams to ensure FAB clients receive consistent, high-quality service during advisory and capital markets mandates.
* Contribute international best practices and corporate finance standards to client materials and internal transaction processes.
* Follow departmental policies, systems, procedures, and legislative requirements while delivering quality and cost-effective execution support.
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, productivity, and transaction delivery practices.
* Support internal reporting, transaction updates, and management information when requested by the line manager.
* Maintain strong personal development discipline by setting performance goals, identifying training needs, and improving technical competencies.
* Stay updated on professional developments, new techniques, regulatory themes, and current market issues affecting M and A and ECM activity.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
* Experience in investment banking, corporate finance, M and A advisory, equity capital markets, financial modelling, or transaction execution is preferred.
* Strong understanding of M and A processes, ECM products, IPO execution, rights issues, block trades, and capital market transaction workflows.
* Ability to prepare high-quality pitch books, information memoranda, investor materials, valuation outputs, and client presentations.
* Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and transaction structuring skills.
* Good awareness of macroeconomic trends, public markets, investor behavior, corporate finance standards, and regional transaction activity.
* Ability to support due diligence, review transaction risks, and coordinate with legal, compliance, risk, finance, and client coverage teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
* Detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple transaction workstreams under tight deadlines.
