Position Overview

Audit Analyst - Continuous Monitoring in Abu Dhabi, UAE is a data-driven Banking audit role supporting FAB Group Internal Audit through continuous monitoring, automated assurance, control testing, and key risk indicator tracking. The position focuses on using CAATs, analytics, dashboards, and system-driven alerts to monitor high-risk areas such as credit risk, AML-CFT, cybersecurity, market operations, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Continuous Monitoring team within FAB Group Internal Audit by delivering ongoing, data-driven assurance over critical risk areas.
* Use Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques and data analysis technologies to enhance audit coverage, testing accuracy, and monitoring efficiency.
* Design, maintain, and improve dashboards and automated alerts for real-time monitoring of control performance.
* Analyze structured and unstructured data sources including transaction data, logs, incidents, IT configurations, and operational records to detect anomalies or control gaps.
* Develop and execute continuous monitoring strategies aligned with FAB’s risk profile, audit priorities, and regulatory obligations.
* Perform ongoing testing of key controls, KRIs, and control performance metrics using automated tools and data analytics.
* Monitor transactional and operational data to identify emerging risks, possible control failures, exceptions, and unusual patterns.
* Support audit plan recalibration by feeding timely insights into risk assessments, dashboards, management reporting, and audit planning activities.
* Review activities across IB, WB, credit portfolios, and relevant subsidiaries to help define and maintain the audit universe.
* Prepare and maintain risk assessments for process streams related to relationship management, credit underwriting, credit risk management, and operational controls.
* Establish, update, and maintain audit programs in the central audit management tool.
* Follow GIA policies, guidance notes, procedures, and practice notes while supporting audit and continuous monitoring activities.
* Track pending audit issues and support validation of corrective actions implemented by business units.
* Provide governance, risk management, and control-related input to unit management based on audit observations and market best practices.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IB, WB, credit control processes, Central Bank regulatory reporting developments, and internal audit requirements.
* Prepare timely and accurate functional reports that meet Group requirements, policies, and quality standards.
* Support special reviews or investigations assigned by the Head of Audit or GCAO.
* Share knowledge with junior colleagues and contribute to a value-driven culture within the audit team.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
* Relevant postgraduate qualification or progress toward CA, CFA, FRM, or similar professional certification is desirable.
* Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with an international bank, Big 4 firm, internal audit team, credit function, assurance team, or related banking control environment.
* Internal Audit experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
* Working knowledge of corporate relationship management, credit activities, credit risk processes, and associated controls.
* Familiarity with bank policies, audit procedures, governance requirements, and Central Bank regulations is an advantage.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk indicators, control data, exception patterns, and audit findings.
* Comfortable working with dashboards, audit tools, automated monitoring, data analysis techniques, and reporting outputs.
* Self-directed and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining accuracy and audit discipline.
