Position Overview
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a Bank Teller for an on-site branch role in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position is responsible for cash management and day-to-day customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque processing, transfers, foreign currency transactions, and end-of-day reconciliation. The role also involves assisting customers with banking services, supporting migration to digital channels, and maintaining accurate transaction processing in line with applicable bank procedures.

Cash and Teller Operations
* Process cash withdrawals and deposits in UAE Dirhams and foreign currencies.
* Handle cheque deposits and inter-account transfers.
* Manage cash withdrawals
from and lodgements with the Vault or Main Safe.
* Perform end-of-day reconciliation of cash and valuables.
* Verify the accuracy of cash requested from and received from the Vault and complete the associated system postings.
* Post debit and credit vouchers and non-financial data sheets.
* Maintain required transaction documentation and filing.
* Process transactions accurately while preventing income leakage.
Customer Transactions
The Bank Teller will interact directly with branch customers to understand their requirements and provide appropriate transactional services. These include Demand Drafts, Telegraphic Transfers, Standing Instructions, IPO processing, returned outward clearing, and other products or transactions offered by the bank in accordance with applicable procedures.
The role also processes bills and cheques for inward and outward collection, including clearing cheques in UAE Dirhams and foreign currencies and handling returned cheques in accordance with the applicable A and O manual.
Customer Service
* Welcome and assist customers with their transactional banking requirements.
* Provide accurate information based on knowledge of FAB\'s retail products and services.
* Answer branch telephone calls professionally and assist customers with relevant queries.
* Apply FAB\'s customer service methodology to maintain a high standard of customer experience.
* Support achievement of assigned NPS targets.
* Work toward minimizing customer complaints through accurate and responsive service.
Digital Banking Support
The role supports FAB\'s digital banking adoption by encouraging customers to use appropriate alternative channels, including ATMs, CDMs, Mobile Banking, and Online Banking.
The Bank Teller will work toward assigned monthly digital onboarding targets, provide online banking demonstrations, and assist customers with mobile application demonstrations and downloads where required.
Lead Generation
* Maintain sufficient knowledge of retail banking products and services to identify potential customer opportunities.
* Capture appropriate leads during customer interactions.
* Work toward assigned referral targets.
* Ensure customers receive accurate product and service information.
Compliance and Transaction Controls
* Maintain accurate and error-free transaction processing.
* Follow applicable compliance, audit, risk, and transaction procedures.
* Exercise appropriate control over cash and valuables.
* Complete mandatory training within required timelines.
* Work professionally with colleagues and internal stakeholders.
* Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by Branch Management.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should be high school graduates with 1-2 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
