Position Overview

Bank Teller - Cash Counter Services in Abu Dhabi, UAE is a customer-facing Banking role focused on accurate cash counter transactions, teller service delivery, operational control, and secure branch support. The position supports First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) by processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cheque-related transactions, and teller service requests while maintaining strong compliance with KYC, AML, operational risk, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Process cash withdrawals, cash deposits, cheque deposits, inter-account transfers, and foreign currency transactions accurately.
* Handle teller operations related to manager’s cheques, demand drafts, telegraphic transfers, IPO processing, clearing, and returned items.
* Perform vault and main safe transactions in line with FAB procedures and approved cash handling controls.
* Ensure cash requested from and returned to the vault is accurate, properly posted, and fully reconciled in the system.
* Complete end-of-day reconciliation of teller cash, valuables, and transaction records.
* Maintain Right First Time standards by processing teller transactions without errors, reversals, or unnecessary corrections.
* Support branch service KPIs including NPS, service request turnaround, teller complaint resolution, and mystery shopping performance.
* Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional teller service to customers during every cash counter interaction.
* Promote FAB digital channels including ATM, CDM, mobile banking, and online banking, and guide customers on basic onboarding.
* Ensure teller operations comply with FAB policies, KYC, AML, regulatory requirements, and operational risk controls.
* Report suspicious transactions or unusual activity to the Teller Supervisor or Branch Manager according to fraud prevention procedures.
* Protect customer information and follow information security standards, including clear desk and secure document handling practices.
* Identify customer needs during transactions and refer suitable leads to branch relationship or sales staff.
* Encourage customers to use higher-value banking programs and self-service channels where relevant.
* Complete assigned reports, records, and documentation accurately and within required timelines.
* Assist with surprise cash counts, vault audits, cash limit monitoring, and exchange position controls when required.
* Participate in mandatory compliance, teller operations, service quality, and risk control training.

Ideal Profile

* Previous experience in banking teller operations, cash handling, branch services, or customer-facing financial services is preferred.
* Strong understanding of cash counter transactions, reconciliation, teller controls, and secure handling of customer funds.
* Good knowledge of KYC, AML, fraud prevention, operational risk, and customer information security requirements.
* High attention to detail with the ability to process transactions accurately under time pressure.
* Customer-focused approach with professional communication and service delivery skills.
* Ability to identify potential product opportunities and refer customers to the correct branch team.
* Comfortable working with service KPIs, teller accuracy standards, complaint timelines, and branch audit expectations.
