Job Overview
As the Cards Issuing Architect, you will lead the architectural design for issuing systems and services across the card lifecycle. You will collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to support card launches, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive innovation through secure, scalable, and integrated platforms.

Key Responsibilities

* Architect card issuance platforms covering issuance, activation, renewal, and replacement
* Design integrations with systems like TSYS, FIS, First Data, or in-house platforms
* Develop RESTful APIs to connect card systems with core banking, digital wallets, and fraud monitoring tools
* Ensure architectural compliance with EMV, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and tokenization standards
* Support product lifecycle management in collaboration with product and compliance teams
* Manage token provisioning for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other digital wallets
* Lead modernization efforts using cloud-native tools on AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Implement microservices-based architecture using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
* Provide architectural governance, documentation, and system blueprinting
* Stay current on fintech trends, neobank models, and customer onboarding frameworks

Job Requirements

* 8–12 years of experience in card issuance systems, payments architecture, or banking technology

* Strong knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, and local switch networks
* Proficiency in API integration, cloud systems (AWS/Azure), and microservices architecture
