The Inclusion Assistant - SEN Support works closely with teachers and the Head of Inclusion to provide direct support for students requiring additional educational assistance. This role helps students access the curriculum, improve independence, and strengthen communication and social skills while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group support for pupils inside and outside the classroom
* Assist students in fully participating in learning activities during the school day
* Support the implementation of Individual Education Programmes linked to student IEP goals
* Monitor student progress, attainment, and behavioural development in coordination with teachers
* Help students with academic, emotional, physical, and behavioural support needs
* Prepare learning resources and differentiated materials to support curriculum access
* Promote student independence through clear and meaningful support strategies
* Assist teachers with pupil records, progress updates, and classroom preparation
* Supervise students during specialist lessons, school visits, ECAs, and classroom activities
* Support speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA intervention follow-up activities
* Maintain confidentiality and follow school safeguarding, conduct, and health and safety policies
* Build strong communication with teachers and work collaboratively with specialist professionals
Ideal Profile
* SEN qualification with Diploma is required
* Minimum 2 years of SEN experience in a school or learning support environment
* Strong understanding of inclusion support and student development strategies
* Ability to work effectively with students requiring academic and behavioural support
* Professional attitude with strong confidentiality and safeguarding awareness
* Good teamwork and communication skills with staff and specialist professionals
* Positive approach to mentoring, learning support, and student well-being
* UAE National candidates are preferred for this role
