Position Overview
The Collections Manager – Secured Products role at First Abu Dhabi Bank in Abu Dhabi is responsible for managing delinquent and vulnerable secured accounts, leading front-end collections teams, and delivering recoveries, productivity, and compliance outcomes in line with regulatory standards and the bank’s conduct framework.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage assigned secured collections portfolio to achieve recovery, productivity, and call quality targets
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing collections team with direct P and L impact
* Deliver creative, customer-centric financial solutions to maximize recoveries and turnarounds
* Conduct debt counselling discussions and oversee legal actions where required
* Ensure collections activities comply with CPR code of conduct and protect the bank’s reputation
* Plan capacity and optimize staffing to meet operational targets
* Maintain low audit risk ratings with nil high-risk observations
* Negotiate settlements using a win-win approach aligned to policy
* Build and strengthen collections infrastructure through hiring, training, and tooling
* Liaise with internal units including Credit, CAD, and Paralegal to complete restructures, settlements, and legal processes
* Coordinate with external entities and empanelled property management companies regarding mortgaged unit leases
* Manage front-end collections operations including performance monitoring and call activity
* Run dialer campaigns, voice blasts, and SMS campaigns targeting mortgage delinquent customers
* Reduce flow rates in front-end buckets and drive a downward delinquency trend
* Manage escalations, complaints, customer meetings, and query resolution to minimize complaint rates

Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance

* Ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory requirements impacting collections and legal actions
* Maintain compliance with KYC and AML standards across collections activities
* Monitor and report regulatory developments affecting collections operations

Key Performance Indicators

* Adherence to collections policies, procedures, and budgets
* Achievement of collection targets and productivity metrics
* Full compliance with CPR regulations in customer interactions
* Nil high-risk audit observations

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree
* Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer banking
* At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role within collections or recoveries
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and customer resolution skills
* Solid understanding of secured products, legal processes, and regulatory requirements
* Ability to manage teams, campaigns, and escalations in a high-pressure environment
