This Compliance Officer role supports First Abu Dhabi Bank’s Asset Management business by ensuring full adherence to SCA regulations, AML/CTF frameworks, and internal compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
* Serve as SCA Accredited Compliance Officer for the Asset Management business.
* Provide comprehensive compliance coverage to ensure effective implementation of compliance frameworks.
* Oversee full compliance with SCA regulations across asset management operations.
* Manage AML and CTF frameworks to safeguard the integrity and reputation of FAB Asset Management.
* Lead regulatory change management, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
* Develop and deliver compliance training for business teams and functional departments.
* Liaise with SCA and ensure timely submission of reports and regulatory documentation.
* Provide regulatory guidance on SCA requirements to internal stakeholders.
* Implement and monitor compliance review programs to ensure ongoing regulatory adherence.
* Support new product compliance assessments and advise the business on regulatory fit.
* Contribute to the fund approval process by ensuring compliance with all SCA requirements.
* Collaborate with internal partners on escalated compliance issues.
* Track and communicate updates related to compliance regulations and policy changes.
* Manage direct reporting responsibilities to the board and administrative reporting to the CEO.
Ideal Profile
* Meets SCA accreditation requirements, including academic qualifications, professional certifications, and SCA exam completion.
* Strong knowledge of asset management compliance and relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Proven experience designing and implementing compliance controls, policies, and procedures.
* Prior MLRO experience and understanding of AML/CTF risks across higher-risk regions and products.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Arabic language proficiency is an advantage due to regulatory interaction.
