Role Context
The Corporate Banking Manager will be responsible for managing assigned large account portfolios and developing long-term client relationships across the corporate banking segment. The role requires a strong balance of relationship management, business growth, credit awareness, service quality, internal coordination, and client satisfaction.
This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, local clients, and international clients. The successful candidate will need to manage meetings across different time zones, support deadline-driven submissions, drive approval processes, and ensure that business objectives, revenue targets, and portfolio standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow assigned large corporate account portfolios within the corporate banking segment.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities to expand revenue, improve product penetration, and deepen client engagement.
* Monitor portfolio performance and help ensure revenue targets are achieved in line with business objectives.
* Maintain portfolio credit quality through disciplined client monitoring, timely follow-up, and risk-aware relationship management.
* Improve service quality levels by ensuring clients receive timely, accurate, and professional banking support.
* Supervise subordinates’ day-to-day activities, client interactions, and service-related follow-ups.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requests, approvals, documentation, and submissions are handled efficiently.
* Work closely with credit, risk, compliance, operations, product, and service teams to support client requirements.
* Drive internal processes to ensure approvals are obtained within short timelines where business urgency requires.
* Support local and international client outreach, including meetings across different time zones.
* Prepare, review, and coordinate deadline-driven submissions related to client facilities, account requirements, and portfolio activity.
* Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed professionally.
* Track client issues, service gaps, and operational delays, then work with relevant teams to resolve them effectively.
* Support business growth while ensuring adherence to bank policies, governance frameworks, risk standards, and approval requirements.
* Contribute to team performance by guiding subordinates, reviewing work quality, and supporting better client coverage.
* Represent the bank professionally in client meetings, portfolio discussions, and internal business reviews.
Ideal Profile
* University degree in Banking, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
* Relevant experience in corporate banking, large account management, relationship management, or portfolio management.
* Strong understanding of corporate banking products, client servicing, credit quality, and revenue management.
* Experience managing large corporate clients or complex business banking relationships will be an advantage.
* Ability to coordinate with credit, risk, compliance, operations, product, and service teams.
* Strong client-facing communication skills with the confidence to manage senior corporate stakeholders.
* Commercial mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and support revenue growth.
* Good understanding of credit discipline, client monitoring, and risk-sensitive portfolio management.
* Ability to supervise team members, guide daily activities, and support high-quality client interactions.
