Role Context
This position serves as the first point of contact for walk-in corporate clients and supports day-to-day client servicing operations across multiple banking products. The selected professional will manage transaction processing, documentation handling, remittances, cheque clearing, and operational support while maintaining compliance with internal controls and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle walk-in corporate customers and provide professional front-line customer service support
* Act as the first point of contact for clients by receiving instructions, documents, and responding to service queries
* Perform customer identification checks in line with standard operating procedures and compliance requirements
* Support relationship management teams by delivering operational services to assigned corporate clients
* Manage day-to-day activities across products related to corporate client services
* Handle cash management operations including inward and outward remittances, cheque clearing, and account-to-account transfers
* Process post-dated and current dated cheques while maintaining high accuracy and compliance standards
* Maintain understanding of cash management products, procedures, and operational workflows
* Receive customer requests and documents and provide proper acknowledgements upon receipt and delivery
* Verify the authority of customer representatives before accepting or delivering official documents
* Ensure timely resolution of internal and external customer queries and service requests
* Provide back-end operational support for account opening documentation and account maintenance activities
* Support Corporate Credit Card operations, cheque book requests, balance confirmation letters, and return cheque handling
* Handle payments-related queries including inward and outward transactions, charges issues, and eChannel service matters
* Manage client correspondence, exception handling, and operational follow-up activities
* Review and maintain compliance with departmental SOPs, audit standards, and RMU requirements
* Ensure confidentiality of customer data in line with data leakage prevention policies
* Participate actively in system upgrades, process enhancements, and bank-wide operational initiatives
* Prepare appropriate MIS reports and service performance statistics for management review
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related discipline
* Strong experience in corporate banking operations, branch services, or client servicing functions
* Hands-on experience handling walk-in customers and client service counter operations
* Good knowledge of remittances, cheque clearing, cash management, and corporate account servicing
* Strong understanding of account opening documentation and account maintenance processes
* Familiarity with banking compliance, internal controls, and operational risk management
* Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in transaction processing
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced banking environment
