Role Context
This position forms a critical part of the Private Banking Credit function and supports lending decisions through detailed financial analysis and credit risk review. The selected professional will assist UAE branches and DSF operations by reviewing mortgage loans, preparing credit proposals, managing documentation quality, and ensuring approvals are completed within delegated authority and policy standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Recommend new credit facilities and extensions of existing credit facilities across Private Banking portfolios
* Conduct detailed credit review of mortgage loans and lending applications for UAE branches and DSF support
* Develop proposals related to credit transactions and associated risks using reviewed client financial information and supporting documents
* Evaluate client financial statements, liabilities, income details, and overall credit data to determine lending risk exposure
* Support lending decisions by assessing client creditworthiness and recommending suitable credit structures
* Ensure complete and accurate credit documentation to facilitate efficient application processing and approval workflows
* Coordinate approvals and ensure delegated authority requirements are fulfilled according to bank lending policies
* Manage exception levels including insufficient or deferred security documents and exception reporting
* Handle exception cases efficiently within defined standards, timelines, and operational controls
* Prepare and maintain timely and accurate productivity reports for reporting management
* Ensure compliance with policies, systems, processes, and procedures across all credit activities
* Support adherence to internal audit requirements and Central Bank regulations
* Maintain effective coordination with UAE branches and internal departments to ensure smooth credit operations
* Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within the Private Banking Credit unit
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
* Strong experience in private banking credit, lending operations, or mortgage loan review
* Good understanding of financial statement analysis, lending due diligence, and secured credit facilities
* Experience in mortgage lending and private banking credit processes is highly preferred
* Strong knowledge of credit documentation, delegated authority approvals, and compliance controls
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
* Good reporting discipline and ability to manage productivity targets effectively
* Strong communication and coordination skills across branches and internal stakeholders
