Job Overview
The Credit Facility Operations Officer - Corporate Banking Abu Dhabi UAE will be responsible for daily credit limit maintenance, facility processing, and regulatory compliance across UAE and international jurisdictions. The role includes guiding junior team members, managing internal workflows, and supporting senior management with reports and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Authorize and process credit limit encoding, interest rate applications, commissions, and bank/country limits
* Handle loan memos, disbursements, settlements, PPC discounting, and write-off entries in line with approvals
* Process annual reviews of credit limits and maintain GLCMS updates
* Generate customer certificates and coordinate with internal stakeholders for service support
* Respond to queries and exception reports to ensure high internal satisfaction levels
* Monitor compliance with credit approvals, delegation of authority, and UAE Central Bank regulations
* Lead on job training and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the unit
* Support team leaders in daily task distribution and workflow monitoring
* Prepare memos for overdraft rate changes, loan maturity extensions, and fee collections
* Archive transactional documentation and ensure adherence to SOPs and SLAs
* Identify opportunities for process enhancement and support automation where applicable
* Report KRIs and operational losses, and implement corrective actions
* Assist with ad-hoc assignments and reporting requests from HO-CCU, CAD, and senior management
* Ensure operational continuity through backup planning and leave coverage within the team
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit operations or facility management within banking
* Strong knowledge of corporate credit processes, approval frameworks, and regulatory environments
* Proficient in banking systems related to credit limit encoding and interest rate management
* Experience handling large volumes of transactions and internal controls
* Strong coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience
