Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the technology roadmap for Cards and Loyalty in line with reference architecture, enterprise standards, and business strategy.
* Lead the design, development, and deployment of Islamic banking products within the cards and loyalty technology domain.
* Provide leadership and direction to technology teams supporting cards platforms, loyalty solutions, and related digital banking capabilities.
* Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, architecture, security, infrastructure, and other IT teams to deliver seamless and compliant customer journeys.
* Oversee modernization of legacy systems and support migration toward cloud-native architectures where applicable.
* Ensure robust IT governance, technology risk management, security alignment, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
* Monitor and manage technology budgets, vendor contracts, delivery commitments, and service level agreements.
* Track and report key scorecard indicators, including audit observations, risk items, delivery performance, service health, and operational stability.
* Champion innovation, agility, continuous improvement, and practical modernization across the technology function.
* Drive collaboration between enterprise architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, application delivery, and business stakeholders.
* Ensure cards and loyalty systems support reliability, scalability, customer experience, compliance requirements, and business growth.
* Review delivery risks, dependencies, vendor performance, and operational issues to ensure timely resolution.
* Support platform resilience, secure technology design, production stability, and effective incident prevention practices.
* Guide technology teams in adopting best practices for solution design, delivery governance, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
* Align product delivery with FAB’s Islamic banking requirements, regulatory expectations, and customer service standards.
Ideal Profile
* 12+ years of overall technology experience, including at least 8+ years in cards technology, loyalty platforms, digital banking, or related financial services technology domains.
* Strong understanding of cards systems, loyalty platforms, Islamic banking product delivery, payment technology, and customer journey enablement.
* Proven experience leading technology teams in a regulated Banking environment.
* Strong background in technology roadmap planning, platform modernization, architecture alignment, vendor management, and budget control.
* Experience with legacy system transformation and cloud-native architecture migration is highly valuable.
* Good knowledge of IT governance, audit requirements, operational risk, security controls, compliance expectations, and regulatory standards.
* Ability to work effectively with product, operations, compliance, enterprise architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, and external vendors.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, resolve dependencies, and manage complex technology delivery priorities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for senior leadership reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
