Position Overview

Director Cash and Trade Solutions in Abu Dhabi, UAE is a senior Banking sales and advisory role focused on growing transaction banking revenue, cash management solutions, trade finance products, CASA generation, and corporate client relationships. The position supports First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) by working closely with coverage teams to structure complex cash and trade solutions, win mandates, deepen client portfolios, and deliver profitable business growth across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive Cash and Trade sales growth across assigned corporate client portfolios in line with client needs, revenue goals, and acceptable risk parameters.
* Work with coverage teams to identify, originate, and develop transaction banking opportunities across cash management, trade finance, liquidity, liabilities, and digital banking solutions.
* Structure complex cash management and trade finance deals, including bespoke open account solutions, supply chain finance, receivables finance, and value-added trade products.
* Execute client calling plans with relationship managers to deepen product penetration and increase share of wallet.
* Respond to RFPs, prepare high-quality client proposals, and provide technical expertise to coverage teams during mandate discussions.
* Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Cash and Trade opportunities, with regular review, stakeholder communication, and focus on mandate closures.
* Partner with coverage teams to develop quality credit proposals that support structuring of trade facilities and efficient transactional risk management.
* Drive CASA and liabilities growth by structuring liquidity solutions that improve client value and strengthen bank returns.
* Support conversion of new and existing customers to FAB electronic channels and digital transaction banking platforms.
* Maintain close coordination with regional and cross-regional stakeholders to support network connectivity, cross-border transactions, and client opportunities.
* Monitor utilization of trade facilities and identify opportunities to cross-sell non-credit trade products and services.
* Work with Cash and Trade Product Innovation teams to finalize documentation, structures, and rollout plans for new solutions.
* Proactively manage fraud, compliance, credit, operational, and transactional risks in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
* Identify improvements in products, systems, processes, and practices based on client needs, market developments, and competitor activity.
* Prepare and deliver client presentations that clearly explain solution structures, commercial value, pricing, and implementation requirements.
* Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across coverage, product, operations, credit, compliance, and risk teams.

Ideal Profile

* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline.
* 10+ years of transaction banking experience with strong specialization in cash management, payments, liquidity management, core trade finance, and value-added trade.
* Proven experience in client origination, corporate relationship development, and revenue growth within transaction banking.
* Strong technical understanding of cash management products, payments, electronic channels, collections, reconciliation tools, account services, liquidity, liabilities, and trade finance solutions.
* Track record of structuring Cash and Trade solutions for corporate clients and supporting complex client mandates.
* Strong client network with the ability to grow Cash and Trade business across the UAE and regional markets.
* Confident in handling enquiries related to cash management and trade finance independently.
* Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
