Role Context
This position is responsible for building a robust equities platform within Global Markets by driving strategic distribution, improving product offerings, and enhancing regional and international client coverage. The selected professional will work closely with trading, securities, compliance, and structured solutions teams to strengthen market presence and maximize revenue opportunities across equities products.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and grow the Equities franchise under the Global Markets mandate across regional and international markets
* Drive strategic business development and leverage customer flow to meet and exceed revenue and budget targets
* Lead distribution of Cash and Derivative Equity products across primary and secondary market channels
* Maintain strong understanding of cash equities, equity derivatives, and structured market solutions
* Identify and implement best practices for product distribution, client coverage, and market execution frameworks
* Support new product approvals, Islamic product offerings, and system improvements to enhance desk performance
* Work closely with FAB Securities and Global Corporate Finance teams to support long-term franchise growth
* Maintain strong client relationships across multiple geographies while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
* Collaborate with Trading and Quant teams to refine pricing models, valuation metrics, and risk transparency
* Ensure accurate booking of risks and proper reflection across trading systems and reporting structures
* Produce market commentary and act as product champion for equities products internally and externally
* Identify cross-selling opportunities with structured solutions and flow sales teams to maximize client connectivity
* Monitor counterparty limits and work with internal partners to unlock additional trading capacity and growth
* Coordinate with Operations, Legal, Credit, Compliance, Documentation, and business partners to scale the franchise effectively
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum 7 years of relevant Global Markets experience with at least 5 years in similar leadership positions
* Strong expertise in cash equities, derivative equities, and broader global markets products
* Good understanding of MENA client base and regional market opportunities is an advantage
* Strong knowledge of regulations, compliance frameworks, and trading jurisdictions
* Bloomberg user with strong Microsoft Office skills and coding ability considered an advantage
* Experience with Murex is highly desirable
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with commercial problem-solving capability
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work confidently with multiple stakeholders
