Role Summary
Join First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Dubai as an FX and Rates Trader within our Global Markets division. This high-impact trading role focuses on managing and optimizing foreign exchange and interest rate portfolios across G10 currencies. You\'ll actively price linear products such as IRS, FX Spot, Basis Swaps, and Futures, while driving client engagement, generating alpha, and enhancing the bank’s position in global markets. What You’ll Do
* Manage G10 FX and Interest Rate trading activities, reporting directly to the Head of FX & Rates G10+Asia
* Execute and manage risk across a multi-product trading desk, covering FX Spot, FX Forwards, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Basis Swaps, XCCY, Futures, and Treasuries
* Generate trading strategies and deliver macroeconomic views to inform alpha-producing positions
* Actively collaborate with Sales teams to facilitate client trades and deepen customer flow
* Support pricing, modeling, and curve calibration with quantitative teams to refine market accuracy
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal risk controls, and counterparty limits
* Identify and implement new opportunities in currencies, products, and system enhancements
* Contribute to procedural improvements and expansion of trading capabilities
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; Master’s degree is a plus
* At least 3 years’ experience in FX and Rates trading with a solid track record
* Advanced knowledge of G10 markets, macro strategy, and risk management techniques
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, VBA/Macros
* Familiarity with trading platforms and tools (e.g., Murex)
* Deep understanding of pricing models, compliance frameworks, and regulatory environments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and internal teams
