Role Context
This position acts as a strategic partner to Global Markets leadership by delivering data-driven insights, executive reporting, and forward-looking business planning frameworks. The selected professional will strengthen revenue growth, capital efficiency, balance sheet optimization, and performance accountability while ensuring alignment with group strategy and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and lead an enterprise-wide Global Markets business intelligence and performance management function
* Build and manage best-in-class management information frameworks across revenues, balance sheet usage, capital, liquidity, and risk-adjusted returns
* Deliver deep analytical insights on client profitability, product performance, cross-sell effectiveness, and regional business trends
* Translate complex business and financial data into clear executive-level insights, recommendations, and strategic narratives
* Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in close coordination with Group Finance and Group Strategy
* Develop multi-year business plans aligned with FAB strategic priorities, market outlook, and regulatory requirements
* Ensure planning assumptions are transparent, well-governed, and aligned across Trading, Sales, and Regional teams
* Define and oversee performance management frameworks including KPIs, scorecards, and executive dashboards
* Monitor business performance against plan and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas
* Support leadership in setting commercial targets and evaluating business outcomes across the Global Markets franchise
* Partner with product and regional heads to strengthen performance discipline and fact-based decision-making
* Act as a trusted advisor to Global Markets senior leadership with independent strategic and financial perspectives
* Prepare executive presentations and reporting for senior management, Group Executive Committee, and Board-level forums
* Ensure consistency, integrity, and governance of reporting across internal and external stakeholders
* Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve analytics platforms, automation, and data infrastructure
* Lead business transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and strategic execution
* Manage and develop a team of direct reports while promoting strong leadership and performance culture
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
* MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred
* Minimum 15 years of experience in financial services with strong exposure to Global Markets, investment banking, or capital markets
* Proven leadership experience across business intelligence, planning, finance, strategy, analytics, or business management functions
* Strong expertise in performance management, forecasting, and executive reporting within complex banking environments
* Proven track record in business transformation, operational efficiency improvement, and strategic execution
* Strong strategic thinking and high-level problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent presentation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
* Strong leadership and people management abilities with experience managing senior teams
* Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
