First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is hiring a Loan Agency Officer to manage syndicated loan agency transactions, ensure risk control, and deliver value-added services throughout the lifecycle of agency deals. The role involves managing client relationships, documentation, covenants, and security while supporting business growth and ensuring compliance with best practice standards.

What You’ll Do
* Independently manage loan agency transactions across their lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction
* Support the Head of Loan Agency in pitching and securing new agency business opportunities
* Review, negotiate, and finalize transaction documentation from an agent’s perspective, ensuring adequate protections for the bank
* Coordinate conditions precedent/subsequent to ensure timely drawdowns and compliance with facility agreements
* Manage covenant monitoring, waiver and amendment processes, ensuring accurate lender communication and record-keeping
* Oversee security renewals, lodgments, and retrievals, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
* Facilitate primary and secondary loan trade processing efficiently and accurately
* Maintain accurate document records and support audit/compliance reviews
* Mentor junior staff, share best practices, and support training for new joiners
* Contribute to loan agency revenue growth through timely fee collection and budget support
* Represent the bank in client meetings, conference calls, and negotiations as required
* Participate in departmental projects, efficiency initiatives, and presentations
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Economics, Business, or Law)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in loan agency or corporate banking roles
* Strong documentation and negotiation skills, with understanding of borrower and lender perspectives
* Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements in syndicated lending
* Proven client-facing and relationship management experience
* Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle complex transactions
* Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
* Willingness to work flexible hours when required to meet transaction deadlines
