Role Context
This position acts as a trusted finance advisor for Coverage, Investment Banking, and Wholesale Banking businesses by supporting decision-making through financial insights, performance analysis, and strong governance controls. The selected professional will help improve profitability, maintain robust reporting standards, and support strategic initiatives across regional and international banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a strategic finance partner and trusted advisor on business performance and commercial decision-making
* Provide financial guidance and support across Wholesale Banking, Investment Banking, and International Business functions
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with business goals and group strategy
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management information for senior leadership
* Conduct detailed P and L analysis, customer profitability reviews, and segment performance reporting
* Support development and rollout of customer and segment MIS across global Investment Banking operations
* Manage month-end controls including P and L reconciliation, balance sheet substantiation, and reporting accuracy
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, governance standards, and internal control frameworks
* Review accounting processes for new products and product variations to ensure financial compliance
* Work closely with Treasury on FTP, capital, and liquidity matters affecting Coverage and CIB products
* Maintain strong working relationships with senior business leaders, Group Finance, FP and A, and enablement functions
* Identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiency across finance systems and reporting frameworks
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of finance experience within leading international or regional banks
* Strong technical knowledge of Wholesale Banking and Investment Banking products
* Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial performance analysis
* Good understanding of balance sheet controls, financial governance, and regulatory compliance
* Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling and forecasting
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across senior business functions
